some years ago i bought a house in Availles Limousine (vienne)and did nothing with it, we then decided to move lock stock a barrel to champagne mouton so did not need the old house.
the mayor had written to me to say that one of the the walls was in danger of falling in the street could i do something about it. i had just been to the house and seen the damage for myself and also had asked a local agent to sell the house.
as i did not have the time to do the work myself i looked in the "French News" paper and saw an ad for Gary Ward a local builder in the area i needed i contacted him and he said he could do it but wanted paying up front, now as a motor trader for 40 years i do not trust anybody so we decided to go and meet this guy and to finish some other stuff we had to do with the new house.
we met outside the house and i found him to be a decent bloke (another thing you learn in the trade is to pick the bad ones most of the time)so we paid the money and went to tell the estate agent what was happening has he had the keys.
by the end of that week i had an email with a picture attached to say that the job had been done. so i can recomend Gary Ward for the area 86,87,16,and 79 and he his registered, his number is 0549917204
