Paule Caillat, owner of Promenades Gourmandes, conducts market tours and cooking classes in English that are designed to give participants unique insights into French cuisine and culture.

A day with Caillat is an insider’s experience of Paris. While creating a meal and meeting the people behind the product, participants will connect with Paris and France in unexpected ways. More than just a tour of the temples of gastronomy, Promenades Gourmandes is a unique opportunity to get to know the real Paris and real parisians.

Classes are conducted in small groups of no more than 8 people. Starting at 9 am with an open-air market shopping tour, followed by a hands-on cooking class and lunch. All cooking is done on premise in Caillat’s kitchen in her home, located in the historic Marais district in the heart of Paris.
