I am looking to relcoate to Paris as soon as possible and would consider any position which offers real prospects.
Here is my CV - please be in touch if you think you may have the role for me!

Education

BA Hons Middle Eastern and Modern European Languages, University of Manchester
Classification: 2:1
o Achieved fluency in French and Hebrew
o Involved two extended periods living abroad in the distinct cultures of Israel and Ile de la Réunion.
o The most enjoyable and successful module undertaken was French translation

A-levels: Business Studies (A), French (B), Politics (B)
AS-levels: Geography (A), General Studies (A)

GSCE Grades: 4A*s, 3As, 2Bs.

Work Experience:

Language Assistant, Lycée Théodore Aubanel, Avignon, France October ‘07-April ‘08

o Taught English as a foreign language to pupils between ages 15 and 22.
o Planned and conducted lessons for small groups of pupils with the main focus on motivating the students to speak with confidence.
o Enforced discipline on a daily basis while ensuring enjoyment and engagement in the classroom.
o Required ingenuity to think of subjects that would make the weakest students speak and to find a way to relate to the students and their interests.
o Additionally worked with 11-15 year-olds. This was the most challenging aspect of the work as some of the students were complete beginners. This required alternative and original methods.

Sales Assistant, Charles Tyrwhitt, London June – September ‘07

o Provided a high standard of customer service.
o Helped customers to pick out thousands of pounds worth of products using personal judgement as well as advising on expensive and technical alterations.
o Worked as part of a team to achieve strict weekly targets, which were frequently exceeded.

o Required me to be highly organised and develop time management as weekends were no longer available for study.

Concierge, London Bridge Hotel, London July ’04 – August ’04 and June ’06 – August ‘06

o Greeted guests and attend to their every requirement at this exclusive 4* hotel in London.
o Learnt to manage extremely demanding and often aggressive guests, requiring quick thinking to come up with on the spot solutions to problems whilst being sensitive to the guests’ needs.
o Developed the ability to multi-task whilst under pressure in an extremely hectic environment.
o Effective communication skills were essential, as improvisation was necessary in conversing with non-English speakers.
o Developed people skills by building a strong rapport and a personal relationship with many guests, receiving lots of positive feedback via customer feedback forms and from the management.

Language Assistant, Collège du Gol, Ile de la Réunion February ’06 – May ‘06

o Similar duties to above teaching position. The extra difficulty was relating to children who had never encountered a native English speaker before.
o Taught mundane grammar rules by explaining them to the children through subjects they could relate to or would catch their attention. This included integrating elements of British culture, which they found fascinating.
o Gained experience in working and living in an extraordinary culture and learned to connect with locals who, like the children, had never met an English person before
